You know life can feel better, but you’re not sure how to get there. You may be experiencing:

  • Relationship conflict, disconnection, lack of intimacy

  • Lasting impact of physical, sexual, or emotional trauma

  • Questions around direction, identity, or next steps

  • Ongoing family tension or parenting challenges

  • Anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, difficulty slowing down

How I Can Support You

I help people slow down and make space to understand their experiences, feelings, behaviors, and beliefs about themselves. My approach is relational, active, and highly attuned, incorporating:

  • Relational psychotherapy

  • Trauma-focused work

  • Psychodynamic therapy

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Mindfulness and self-compassion practices

I listen closely for the patterns beneath the surface and help you make sense of them in a way that leads to lasting change.

  • “I have known Carrie for over eight years. She is warm, smart, creative, collaborative, and an extremely talented therapist and couples therapist. She also is an excellent supervisor and teacher. If you are looking for a therapist or couples therapist, I highly recommend you work with Carrie.“

  • "Working with Carrie within IFS was a crucial first step to developing self-compassion and an understanding of my inner world. I came into therapy with very little experience of emotional attunement and receiving care from anyone in my life - including other professionals. IFS and Carrie's attunement helped me overcome initial blocks I had around shame and fear to trust someone to witness my internal experience. She helped reframe parts of myself that I found challenging and that negatively impacted my life and relationships by exploring why it made sense that I developed the protection I did and how I may be able to foster the same safety in a way that was more aligned with my values."

  • "Working with Carrie was one of the most grounding experiences I've had in therapy…What stood out immediately was that she never had an agenda for us… She just listened and helped us understand ourselves and each other more clearly.”

    —Former Client

  • “Having Carrie there, someone who knew us both and had witnessed the full picture, gave me the space to say what I needed and mean it. She held the room in a way that made it harder for my words to get dismissed or negotiated away. That kind of support and validation changed everything for me. I'd recommend Carrie to any couple at any stage. She brings warmth, honesty, and a rare ability to make sure both people are truly heard."

    —Former Client

  • “Carrie helped me with challenges in my relationship with care for each individual and the couple as a whole. She was kind, generous, and patient while working through difficult feelings and complicated dynamics. She very much helped me understand myself and myself in a relational dynamic and working with her provided tools and insights that I'll take with me for healthier relationships throughout my life.”
